Ok so i am coming close to building a new pc and i am still having troubles picking a GPU.
Ok so i have many choices.
First my specs i picked:

I7 2600k 3.4GHz (Stock)
Asus P8Z68-V PRO Socket 1155
G.Skill DDR3-1600 16GB
Coolermaster Silent Pro Gold 800w (Might change to Corsair HX850w)
ok so i have to choose between these cards.

1.nVidia Geforce GTX 590

2.AMD HD 6950 2-Way XFire

3.AMD HD 6950 2-Way XFire

If there are any others please tell me.

So the games i mainly want to play are:
Crysis 1 and 2
Flight Simulator X
Dirt 3
Grand Theft Auto IV
Team Fortress 2
and more.
So which is best for me, and if there is a better GPU setup and is not more expensive than any of those please tell.
Thanks, :)

First of all the i5 2500k gives you the same gaming performance as the i7 2600k. Save the money for the GPU, your gonna need it. I like the gtx 590 because it is two GPUs on one card so you only use one PCIe slot so you have room to upgrade in the future, add another 590 in the future (quad SLI) will give you the most powerful graphics system to date. Your mobo the Asus Z68 is only best suited for 2 GPUs. It does have 3 PCIe slots but at a reduced power if all 3 used.

On the other hand 2 older graphics cards running in SLI or CF you will get the best bang for your buck. But when you decide to upgrade you will have to sell both cards and buy new ones. So the choice is up to you. If you decide for SLI, the GTX 570 have one of the best for the money, and will be similar in performance to the 590. Im not a fan of AMD card anymore, my previous ones i had to many problems with their drivers.

If you want to go all out there is the top of the food chain with GTX 580 SLI but that is going to cost you a pretty penny.

Go with the i5 2500k and use the $100 savings to get GTX 580 SLI.

The Asus ATI EAH6970, will run anything you can throw at it. today's games just don't put the demand on GPU's the way you would expect. Put your extra dollars into more RAM and quality cooling. Good luck with your build.

Umm. I live in Australia. But the shop I'm going to buy it from are going to order it for me. So 2 6950s or 6970 are not good?

2 6950s or 6970s are very good most of the time. For some games though the drivers in crossfire can be sketchy.

If you are playing at 1920x1080 resolution then most of the newer GPU intensive games you will have to cut back the graphics settings at least in half to play at a good framerate of 40-60fps. Crysis2, Metro 2033, Battlefield 3, GTA 4, Witcher2. If you are playing at higher resolutions, 3d, or multiple screen you will have to cut back to low graphics settings.

LMAO max on what Dx9. Not on Dx11. Do you even know the difference?? Don't look at idiots on YouTube! Look at legitimate reviews.

If u can read look at the bottom of the f***** page. 23-32fps with one 6970. Extremely smooth gameplay is 45-60fps. And the 23-32fps is not even maxed graphics, that's with antialiasing turned off and using 1920x1080 display.

Don't tell someone they are wrong when they are trying to help you. Especially if you don't know what the **** you are talking about. :non:

Do what you want dude. Done here.

Go with a GTX 590 then, but hurry because they go out of stock fast.

The best 590 is in stock now on newegg.

Lol the 590s sold out in a few hours. I was tempted for quad SLI since I already have one 590, but will just wait for next gen 28nm cards come out.
