Hey guys,

I was just wondering if there were still some reference design 6950s out there for sale that can be unlocked to the 6970.
It seems like they're quite hard to find these days. I'm not Necessarily going to buy one, I would merely like to know which ones available are able to be unlocked.

Thanks :)

Very few can be unlocked these days. From what I understand, if the card has a dual-bios switch, then it has a chance to be unlocked safely. I believe you can try to unlock one without a dual-bios switch, but you may brick it.

Also, it must be a 2GB version for it to be unlockable.

Example of a dual-bios version: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Doesn't it have to be a reference card? I could be mistaken, but that doesn't look like one.

A reference card maybe would have a higher chance to unlock, but I believe the key is really the dual-bios switch, which all reference cards have along with a few non-reference ones.
