Bought an 8350, the Sabertooth 990fx 2.0, and Patriot PXD38G1866ELK memory. It was designed for intel boards but in the motherboard's manual it was listed as a supported memory. This memory should run at 1866, but the bios sets it at 1600. The board says right on the back it supports DDR3 1866/1600/1333/1066. I am running dual sticks (2x4) in the correct slots listed in the manual.
I tried manually setting it to 1866 and leaving all other setting as autodetect and my system refused to boot until I reset it to 1600. I didn't get an answer on the Patriot support forum, so I figured I'll try here. I'm guessing I'd have to manually set a bunch of stuff in the bios to get it up to that speed but I have no idea what to change.
I'm also open to suggestions on a different set of memory if someone knows one that will work at 1866 out of the box on this board since I can return this set for a refund.
