please help with A7v133 and promise ata100

hi..everyone...nice to meet ya here..this is my first time here. and i need some help, please.
i just got my A7v133 mobo and Athlon TB 900 cpu tonight.
i tried to connect it with my HD(IBM 20gb, ata-66) which has a win2k pro OS installed already. but it didn't boot up with the new mobo.. and i also tried to install the new win2k into my another ata-66 Maxtor 40gb HD, again, the win2k says can't find my hd(no HD is found) (i pressed F6 to install the Promise ata100 driver when booting win2k from cd-rom, is that the right way to do?) should i do something to the bios's setup?

If Windows 2000 doesn't see the drive then "yes" you have to press F6 to install the driver before you continue.

As long as the drive is set up in the Bios and is detecting you should be fine. If that doesn't work move the drive to the standard controllers, install the OS, install the drivers for the ATA 100 controllers, then move it over to the card.
