Hello,
I have a mixed network of Linux and Windows PC's , about 60 machines and a file server running Linux.
Recently, we have noticed a marked drop in network speed both locally and Internet. I am suspecting a windows machine which has been compromised but have yet to track it down.
I am therefore seeking a network utility which can analyse the network traffic and thus find the culprit.
It would also be nice to see if certain users are taking bandwith using live streaming or ftp or similar.
The only things I can find are only for installing on a machine which analyses just that local machine and not the whole network.
Thanks for any help.

http://www.untangle.com - This will do the trick.

Or you could set up your own proxy with some sort of linux box some links.
