Help! i think my mobo might be dead D:

Hello
I recently bought an Extreme 4 from asrock and a corsair cx 750 but my cpu and gpu are in another country since im here on holiday, i know the psu works because i tried the paperclip trick and the fan turned on, but the problem is that i have heard that these mobo tend to be dead or have an error on arrival, i would just like to know if i can test the mobo with nothing else but the psu and of course the mobo to see if it working?

If you're worried about a mobo problem before even trying the GPU and CPU then return it to the store and buy a mobo online or in a local shop (from your home).

Have you installed all the components together and tried booting-up the system?
