Asus M5A97 Wont Post

Hello, I just made my first build and my motherboard wont post. I have tried removing the Ram, video card, etc and nothing is working.

Asus M5A97
AMD Phenom II X4 3.4GHz
MSI n550GTX-Ti
G.SKILL Ripjaws F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL
Corsair TX650 PSU

Hi, Is the CPU fan spinning when starting the board?

Thanks for the response. Yes. The cpu fan keeps spinning. So does the video card. The light on the mobo comes on. Just no display or post beep.

If there's a case speaker (beeper) connected, try starting the board with only CPU and CPU fan installed. See if you get the error beeps signaling that no RAMs are installed.

I had the same issue where the CPD_LED would continuously stay lit. It was a simple matter of me not having the right power supply and forgetting to hook up the CPU Power cable on the motherboard. In my situation this was the issue. Theres an 8pin CPU Connecter that needs a direct power cable from your power supply.

That did the trick and my computer strated right up with no problems.
