Hello.

I'm looking for suggestions on a new build.

Date: Xmas

Purpose: Gaming, etc

Budget: ~ $1000 ( after shipping and taxes)

Parts not needed: keyboard, mouse, dvd drive, monitor ( 50" 1080p)

Location: USA, California

I've decided on i5-2500k ...
so now it's down to the point of getting a system that can pull ~ 60fps on most modern game titles at high or ultra settings

I will not SLI or CF as I don't want to deal with microstuttering.

I would like motherboard being a healthy overclocker. Please do not suggest any Asrock motherboards as imo they are still poor quality build.

Thanks for all your input

i5-2500k
Hyper 212 Plus
ASUS P8Z68-V Pro
8GB Vengeance 1600 low profile
1TB drive
HD 6870 1GB
Corsair TX750 V2
Lite-On iHAS124

Put all that in your favorite $100 case and you'll be right under a thousand.

You should probably go with a case of your pref under 100, because any more than that is out of your budget, a 560 ti 448 runs cheaper than the GTX 570, can be overclocked to and surpass the GTX 570 in performance, IHMO. and get a good quality 650 PSU from XFX, their PSUs are made by seasonic, and are excellent PSUs.

OH and also thank you so much for acknowledging the fact that Asrock mobos are cheap. I don't get where all this Asrock fanbase came from, but I would stick with gigabyte UD3, ooooh matte black finish PCB, might be a little expensive though but definitely go with a trusted and proven brand, none of this Asrock bullshit. If you can hold off on your HDD or find a cheap supplier, i would never buy an HDD right now at theses prices.

Im not willing to wait. I want it now :)
Like I said please don't suggest Asrock. 1 year warranty just not gonna cut it for me. Also I would not make the purchase based on new egg reviews. I need quiet case that is of high quality I doubt there is one for fifty bucks
