I am getting the AMD FD8150FRGUBOX FX-8150 Processor - Eight Core, 8MB L3 Cache, 8MB L2 Cache, 3.60GHz (4.20GHz Max Turbo) 125W on my computer and i was wondering if i needed an aftermarket fan. If i do need one then i plan on getting the Cooler Master Hyper N520 CPU Cooler for 49.99. I don't really know anything about hte computer but i know htat the processor needs am3+ board and i have that but not sure on the cooler or if its even necessary. I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me if it's necessary, and if it is, direct to a fan that i can get on compusa for a cheap price and will fit my motherboard.

No need if you are not going to overclock since there is a std cooler with BOX CPU's. If you are planning to overclock the std cooler is insufficient.

The boxed cooler is very loud, though.

Hyper 212 Evo
Hyper 212 Plus
would be my recommendations.

Which case do you have?

O also does the 212 Evo come with thermal paste?

All CM cases should fit a Evo.

The Evo does come with TIM, just not pre-applied.

The EVO and 212+ ship with a tube of paste and either cooler will fit in a 430.
I have a 430 with a 212+ in it = so confirmed it fits.
The EVO is a half mm taller = it will fit no problem.
