Hi i have a P5LP-LE leonite motherboard on my HP m7760n(RK570AA) computer that i got about 3-4 years ago and the motherboard has a socket LGA755 CPU slot. I got a Intel Core 2 Duo E6400(2.13GHz) CPU and i want to upgrade it. Whats the best CPU that can play high settings very well with a XFX ATi Radeon HD5570 1GB graphic card that I'm gonna get soon. I want to play games on high settings like Borderlands, The Sims 3, Sims 3 pets, Left 4 dead 2, GTA IV, Crysis 2, Just Cause 2, Fifa 12. So what the best CPU for LGA775 with the XFX ATI Radeon HD 5570 1GB Graphic card that can play those games on high settings that i listed above, my budget is $150 for the CPU

I checked it out and it looks like that the best CPU you can put in that mobo is a E6X00 which would be the Core 2 Duo E6700.

The GPU is fine but for GTA 4, the CPU will hold it back. Another thing as well is the PSU, wou will want to upgrade that as well.

Sorry but thats the downside to OEM PC mobos, they are very limited in support.

.... the best cpus that can play games at high settings - core i5 2500k, 2400, 2600, 2600k.. any one from the top tier of gaming cpu chart.
if you must keep the 5570, any entry level cpu can be a good match for it e.g. fx 4100, pentium g620, core i3 2100 etc.
you could add few hundreds more $$ to your cpu budget (after you save up) and get yourself a new, more gaming capable pc.
one such setup might be -
pentium g860 or core i3 2100 (replace it later with an ivy bridge i5 k version)
asus p8z68 vpro or gigabyte z68 ud3h b3
8 gb ddr3 1600 ram
corsair/seasonic/enermax 500-600w 80+rated, active pfc psu
radeon hd 7850/7870 2 gb

My best 'gaming' rig right now has an old Pentium D processor (3.0ghz), DDR2 800 RAM, and an nVidia GT 240 and I can run Borderlands on high at 1920x1080. That card is listed in the same tier as the Radeon HD 5570 on the latest Tom's Hardware Graphics Card Hierarchy Chart. If you can find a nice deal (I got my GT 240 for $30 a year and a half ago) and need it to play your current games then I would expect it to let you keep playing for a year or two more. I haven't tried out any of the other games you listed on my PC, so I can't guess how they will run, but my games (mostly just LoL and Borderlands) do alright.

i myself have taken the approach of having the lga 755 mobo, and let me tell you the best cpu for the lga 755 is the intel core 2 duo e8600! has 6mb cache and has 3.33 ghz can be overclocked and 33.90 ghz, although has trouble at 4.00 ghz. This cpu is probably the fastest cpu for the lga 755 mobo, and can be faster than the i3 or i5.

You can find the e8600 for a low price at ebay or follow this link for newegg take:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115054

hmmm. it appears they are sold out? try this link:http://www.upgradebay.com/Products/ProductInfo.aspx?rid=26&ProductID=168910951&utm_source=googlepepla&utm_medium=adwords&utm_content=pla&gclid=CO7Xt_qpgb4CFY1xOgodDHsAmg
