More about good homebuilt plan
  1. You need an intel motherboard. Thant motherboard is for amd. Find a motherboard with a "1155" socket.
  2. all right thanks, i fixed it, you saved me a headache and a half! thanks!

how good is this? can it play BF3 on max?
  3. Is newegg.com accessible to you? They have more stuff to choose from and better prices.

It depends on your monitor but most likely no. You need a better graphics card . At least a 560 ti/448 or a 6870. I'm not sure about your cpu but I'm guessing its a bit on the low side

Try to get a power supply made by seasonic, corsair or xfx. Do you need a modular power supply? If not I recommend this. Its cheaper and its rated 50w higher though it doesn't look as pretty.

Well first of all, do you have any hdd sitting at home? even laptop hdd will do. Hdd are too expensive now.

Second, do you need an optical drive? I barely use my optical drive and imo it should be extinct now. You can install windows with a usb which is faster.

Third, you do not need high speed ram. 1600mhz is fine and any higher gives very little reward. you can choose between 2x2gb and 2x4gb. 2x4gb is the new standard since 2x8gb has arrived. Dual channel is better but for the sake of future upgrades and price get a 1x4gb.

  6. As for your comment about BF3 on max, It really depends on, like bear said, your monitor size. I can play on max with my gts 450, but I run a 14 inch Pre-2k LCD monitor at 1024x800 ;) .
  7. well, i have a 60gig external. i could use my brothers but at a risk, this PC was freezing after every 5 minutes of rebooting, is it possible to take his or could the problem transfer to my rig?his was i think 250 gig.

i belive i do need an optical drive to install games etc. beacause i dont have a credit card for Direct 2 Drive installation.

and for the RAM i cant use that one because it is not in stock in my store. i just made another PC plan i and ill post it in a sec.
