ok, so i follwed the directions here at
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/69247-35-overheating-driver-issue-asus

I uninstalled the old drivers and downloaded the new ones, but now when I boot up my computer to install the new drivers it overheats in about 3 minutes and I cannot even complete the installation. GPUZ says my temps are all at 110C or above when I boot up, which I dont even understand how that is possible but ok. I keep almost getting the new AMD catalyst drivers installed but it shuts off during the restart or at other times during installation because i have tried about 6 times. Before I uninstalled the other drivers it was very hot but not near as bad as now. Please let me know if their is anything I can do. I really need this computer for school.

Thanks

Don't see how drivers can create a hardware problem such as overheating (unless it's somehow automatically volting up the GPU or something)

Have you trired reverting back to the older drivers to see if the issue still exsists?
