Help with first rig

Can I use SSD without a HDD? I have a Kingston HyperX . When I try to install WIN7 (first time ever) It says " Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks." Any help solving this problem? Thanks in advance for time spent helping me resolve this issue. This is my first build and I am trying to learn as I go.

When it asks me where I want to install windows it shows disk 0 partition 1:System Reserved 100.0MB type reserved. disk 0 Partition 2 223.5GB Primary. Im guessing partition 1 has pre installed programs for the SSD. I have tried to select partition 2 and format, but it still giving me the the same message.
