Hello, recently my laptop's mobo (hp pavilion dv6-1358wm) has died. So I've checked with HP partsurfer for options, and it gave me 2 options: one is full-featured board with GM45 chipset (intel), the other is discrete full-featured plus with M96/1G chipset (ati). So the question is, which is better and how much better if any? Regards.

Best solution

a c 341 V Motherboard

The M96/1G is better but you need buy the AMD CPU for it too. And if you want to save money just the the GM45 that means you replace the board only.

For the video card, GM45 comes with the X4500HD and M96/1G comes with the HD4650. I add the link and you will see the X4500HD is bottom part, the mobile HD4650 is in the meddile.

Yes, I see. Although the chart shows that HD4650 is better, I'd like to see some feedback from the actual users of this card.
