I have tried using an iphone headset with a built in mic, and a Bose headset with a built in mic by plugging them into the front and back microphone jack of my computer.

I get a pop-up on my monitor that recognizes when either headset is plugged into both mic jacks.

I have an Asrock extreme3 gen3 motherboard and a haf 912 case.

I have tried to test both mic's in skype, windows recorder and realtek HD audio manager, but no sound is being picked up.

Does anyone have any idea why these aren't working? I was going to buy a headset to PC adapter so that i could use the Bose headset as my gaming set.

--not totally sure if this is the right section for this question, or if i should goto mobo.

Thanks for any help.

nafoni - I gave up on this and just bought a Logitech microphone, which works fine.

The Bose website does say the mic on the headset is for apple stuff, so somehow it's not recognized by my computer...
