ok this is kinda hard to explain so ill try to make it simple as possible.

I have 5 3 pin male fan cables in my case that need to plug into my mobo but my mobo has 4 pin male connectors.

So it wont plug into at all can someone please help me. Plus this is my 1st build. Should i buy new fans? or is there a adapter out there somewhere.

I wish i didnt have this problem so i hope one of you guys can help me:)

Common people you dont need that info... 3 pin connectors can safely be used on 4 pin headers by aligning pin 1 with pin 1 on the motherboard connector pin 4 will be ignored.

Pin 4 is for controlling the speed of the fans. Thus is fans are not speed controllable...

they said both the fan connectors and the motherboard connectors are male

how exactly did you plan to plug a male connector to another male connector?

and no rude answers please :D

Pin 4 is for controlling fan speed by PWM (pulse width modulation).
3 pin fan speed can be controlled by some motherboards through voltage regulation (lower voltage = lower rpm, etc).

Actually, once he realizes that his case fans are connected to the built in fan controller and connects the 4 pin molex to his psu, the fan speed will be controllable.
