I've come up with a list of parts, and I'm just checking to see if there's anything I'm missing/could do with changing.

i5 2500K - 249.99
ASRock Extreme 3 Gen3 - 149.99
Mushkin Blackline 8GB RAM - 44.99
WD Caviar Blue 500gb - 99.99
NZXT M59 Case - 69.88
LG GH22NS70 DVD Writer - 22.99
Antec EarthWatts 650W 89.99
Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 120gb SSD - 219.99
ASUS ENGTX560 DCII OC/2DI/1GD5 - 219.99

With the monitor I bought for this build it's coming to $1280, but with that damn Canadian tax it's going to cost me $1450 which my wallet isn't going to enjoy.

I don't really care about the optical drive so something that costs less is even better, as long as it still reads and writes. I've already bought the RAM so I can't change that. Also the Mushkin SSD is either out of stock or on back order everywhere I look, anyone know what's up with that? Should I have a second choice in mind, and if so any suggestions? Also looking for alternate case suggestions around $70 or less.

Approximate Purchase Date: As early as tomorrow to as late as end of Jan.

Budget Range: Current build is pushing it, I'm looking to cut costs if possible. Don't want to factor in MIR since I'm a lazy ass, instant rebates are great though.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (FPS titles like TF2, BF3, also RTS games like SC2)

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, OS, already bought RAM, and I can hold off on speakers.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: http://www.canadacomputers.com is the local computer parts store, and everything will be bought there unless newegg.ca has an extremely good deal.

Country: Canada

Parts Preferences: The stuff I've listed.

Overclocking: Large possibility of overclocking the CPU.

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080

CPU - what else :)

MoBo - personally I'm not comfy w/ Asrock's chinsy warranty

RAM - Good set

SSD - good choice....2 tiers above the Intel SSD 510 120 GB and Crucial m4 128 GB and 5 tiers above the Corsair Force 3 120 GB, Intel SSD 320 300 GB an OCZ Agility 3 120 GB

the Case and PSU I'd want something better but your site offers few choices.

@drunk: hm, I will look into those. Is direct canada good with RMAs?

@Jack: Any suggestions for PSUs and cases I could look for elsewhere? Also what exactly is wrong with those parts, so I know what to look for.
