im planning to buy the audioengine a5+ speakers
those are really good speakers so it would be a waste using onboard audio with them
my main goal is good quality audio for music so asus' cards are def better for me than creative's
now, i thought of the essense stx but it's kinda expensive...

anyone here another idea which doesn't cost as much as the essence stx??

I'f you spent the bucks on the a5's, spend the bucks for the STX.

I'm running the essence STX with a pair of audioengine 2's, and the results are spectacular.

Also, be sure to use a good ASIO player for listening to your music on PC. There are some great paid and free ones out there. I personally use AIMP. But look at all of them and decide which is best for you.
