If it's a laptop, then most likely you'll need the same board; most aren't interchangable. Check ebay; if the board is to expensive used, then remove your hardrive and sell your leftover parts.

This laptop acer aspire 5100 wont boot

the green power light is on but the computer will not start up

Baking a motherboard 200c for 10 minute

and now back to life but to need change motherboard

search ebay and find my model

not too expensive
