I want to upgrade my system so that I can play BF3 fast enough to have a playable online experience. I don't mind playing at lower resolutions to get it. Below is what I currently have and what my proposed upgrades were. I'd appreciate any feedback.

Current System:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 2.13 GHz
MOBO: Gigabyte nForce 650i LGA 775 ATX (GIGABYTE GA-N650SLI-DS4L)
RAM: 6GB RAM (2GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2 SDRAM and 4GB DDR2)
GPU: Radeon HD 4850 512MB
HDD: Seagate 320GB HDD
Case: Rosewell R220 Case
PSU: InWin 350W PSU
DVD: Sony Optiarc 18X DVD±R DVD Burner

I asked around on another forum and got some advice but I'm not too sure it's the direction I should go in.

I was told to purchase an Intel Q6600 CPU and the below PSU. The GPU I bought myself because it was on sale, but they are both still in their respective boxes and I have no problem selling them if there is a better valued alternative.

Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W $35
Radeon HD 5770 $70

Above are a couple of articles from here at Tomshardware and it does look like you will be able to play BF3 at the lower settings and get playable fps. The game is gpu oriented and the cpu plqays a small part and you will be able to play the game using a dual core cpu. I see you have purchased a quad core which is ok and the 5770 is boarderline , it would have been better if you had gotten a better video card but it does look like it will play the game.

SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity
$144.99 and a $15 rebate makes it $129.99

This would be a better choice for a video card but it is more expensive then the 5770.

HIS H685FN1GD Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity
$139.99 and a $20 rebate makes it $119.99

Maybe with a little searching you can find a better price , this one is $10 cheaper than the other one. So it is up to you what you want to spend.
