Memory Voltage

My question are: Does it matter if i put my RAM voltage on auto if i want to overclock my ram? Or do I need to set it manually? What are the differences between manual voltage control and automatic?
If someone could clear that out for me I would be thankfull.

More about memory voltage
  1. Why do you want to OC your RAM?
  2. Well i'm into video/photo editting and gaming (sometimes only) and i need speed. That's the only reason
  3. Well neither of those usages will benefit you much by OCing the RAM. You might get 1-2FPS improvement AT MOST!
  4. i need responsivity not fps i already have a pretty good gpu but by meaning of changing the voltage i wanted to mean if it makes the oc slower by not consuming enough energy as somebody told me.

Responsiveness won't be achieve by A RAM OC either, get an SSD for that.
