Amd quad-core processor a8-3550mx good for gaming?

Hello,
I was just wondering if the a8-3550mx is a good processor for gaming. I'm a big total war fan, so I want to play games like rome, medieval 2, napoleon, empire, and shogun 2 fairly well without any frame drops, also with the laptop comes a 1GB AMD Radeon(TM) HD 7690M GDDR5 Discrete Graphics. I hope this laptop can last me like 3-4 years.
