Hello, I'm building a new PC and I was wanting to know, If I get an ASUS MoBo with a PCI Express 2.0 x16 and a PCI Express 2.0 x4 and a put a HD Radeon 7770 in each, will the x4 bog my performance to where I wont see the difference between having 1 card and two cards? Will the x4 hold the x16 back from performing as well, or will I still see extra performance from having two cards? Thanks for any answers in advance.

Yes, you will get the better performance from CF HD7770. I add the link for the review, but they use the MB that has the PCIe X8/X8. And your MB only has the PCIe X8/X4 in CF that will hold back the performance.

If you want to CF then you are better find the MB has PCIe X8/X8 at least.

Typically a PCIE 2.0 4x slot will have about a 5% reduction in FPS from a 16x slot.

Having personally ran a 7770 CF setup @ 16X/4X, 8X/8X and 16X/8X, there was little to no difference in performance, maybe 5% on average with about 10% being the worst between the fastest and slowest.

Toms did a test on 16X/8X, 8X/8X and 16X/4X. Note that they tested with 6950's. They are much faster and will take more of a hit than a pair of 7770's.
