Windows 7 rating 5.9

Windows 7 Experience Index rating for memory is 5.9
My Ram is Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz 1x4gb.
Will the rating increase above 7 if i buy one more ram and make it dual channel.

More about windows rating
  1. While I cant guarantee a 7 dual channel will definitely help. Try to get an identical stick though.
  2. Dual channel might help, I have 6 X 1GB DDR3 1066 cheapo memory and I get a 7.5
  3. I really wouldnt worry about the index rating, nothing is rated off this. My guess would be that yes it will, but unless your having problems with your computer i wouldnt worry about it.
  4. I had 5.5 with Corsair 2x1GB DDR2 800 4-4-4-12 2.1V, I bought another identical kit, now I have 6.8.

Honestly, besides hwcompare.com, the WEI rating might be the most useless rating known to man.
  6. According to windows index my pc only scores 5.9 but i can play bf3 on ultra with no aa way above 60fps at 1080p,that may give you an idea of how horrid windows ratings are.
  7. I've got a 7.3 with some 5-year-old DDR2.

Your 5.9 score is probably your mechanical hard drive, I'm sure the rest of your PC scores in the 7's.
  9. Your right is it, but the computer still smashes games witch is why windows score index's are not important.
