MSI R770 Hawk or XFX ATI 5870?

I've found two local sellers and I'm wondering what do you think is a better deal not which one is the more advanced card. The XFX 5870 is used but in excellent condition and the MSI R770 Hawk is new.

MSI R770 Hawk: $108

XFX Radeon 5870: $180

Below is my current specs to look off.

Intel Core i7-920/ 2.66ghz, quad-core, 64 bit
Intel x58 express mobo
3GB DDR3 1066MHz 240 pin (replacing with Crucial 12GB DDR3 next week)
750GB ATA hard drive
ATI Radeon HD 4850, 512 MB
650W max earthwatts PS

lol or should i not even bother with the two?
Thank you

  1. Why does it say $202 in the link for the 5770? That is robbery!
The HD5870 is twice the performance of the HD5770 but $180 is a little steep for a used card comparing http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102948

The HD 6870 is not as powerful as the HD 5870.

The HD 5870 is as good/better than the HD 6950.

I know that but for the performance difference $180 is steep for a used card when you can get HD6870 for $160!
  4. thanks rolli! not getting either of those, rip off for the used 5870 when you gave me that link!
