Better cpu with integrated graphics for gaming ???

i have a crapy dual core 1.6 ghz with intel chipset dg945cpe.i am going to change my cpu and mobo. i am looking for a cpu with igp that can play games like mw 3 ,crysis 2 etc.should i get an i3 2125 or amd a8 3850 with radeon ?? i would also like to know about some mobos in price range of $50 and overclockable for both the brands.

i mean total budget. a core i3 is a dualcore which wont be much better for gaming that a core 2 duo


plus you will need to buy new ram as socket 1155 uses ddr3

most socket 775 uses ddr2


you want to grab a z68 motherboard
if you go the intel route.

only the k series processors e.g. i5 2500k,i7 2600k are overclockable (i think there are i3's which are overclockable



(im running mw on an old ati 4670 about $70 i believe but im running it with a core i5)

Hi there, just before heading off, please understand that you will need better GPUs just to run MW3 / Crysis properly. Therefore, I would recommend you to look at one of these as an example...

Now, regarding CPU performance, just look at intel i3 which runs around 2.1GHz core or above. That will do...

Intel i3 is better for gaming and multi-tasking, so does driver support from intel website and motherboard manufacturer.

If you want to run MW3 / Crysis, then take a look @ ATi HD 5000 / HD 6000 series. However, I am not sure about Nvidia GPUs. I don't use them...

That is the lowest I can go for ATi HD 6000 series...

If you are going to use intel i3, please look for socket 1155 + DDR3 RAMS.

i3 is better if you want to use a dedicated gpu,
but if you don't want to use a dedicated gpu then a6 or a8 will be better.

Getting a z68 with i3 is waste (if not want to overclock), instead of that, a h61 board is better.

With i3 You can play mw2,mw3 at medium settings with playable fps.

if you want to save power then get a i3 with h61 and wait for gtx6 or price drop on hd7 series gpu which will give around 50% more performance per watt. And will run your system cool.

How is your budget actually? ALL you have to upgrade is the CPU, MOBO and the Memory and also a GPU
