Confuse with UPS

I want to buy a new ups ..
but my friend said, must to buy ups that have pure sine wave
when using the usual ups can damage the psu is, is that correct?

Xbit labs' review of the Seasonic X-560 (SS-560KM) showed that it didn’t work well with their APC SmartUPS SC 620. The UPS would shut down when switching to the batteries even at a load of 300 watts.

The APC Smart-UPS SC 620VA has a Waveform Type of Stepped approximation to a sine wave (a.k.a. simulated sine wave).

Since the UPS Laplace Phasor 1250 VA's Output Waveform (Battery Mode) is a Simulated Sine Wave there is a high probability that you may run into this problem if you you were to purchase this UPS.

There is no problem with the UPS itself.

The problem lies with how the Seasonic X-560 (SS-560KM) deals with a simulated sine wave. It's because it doesn't know how to deal with a simulated sine wave is why a UPS that outputs a simulated sine wave will shut down when switching over to battery power. The only solution is a UPS that outputs a pure sine wave when on battery power or change the power supply unit to one that deal with a simulated sine wave.

Xbit labs' review also tested the X-660 (SS-660KM) and X-760 (SS-760KM) at that same time. These two models worked fine with the APC Smart-UPS SC 620VA.

The only reasonably priced pure sine wave UPS, if it's available where you live, is the:
