Compatibility with Gigabyte mobo and Windows 8

Hi, I've been having trouble installing Windows 8 on a computer I put together, and I was notified by Microsoft Support that there might be compatibility issues between my mobo and Windows 8.

The motherboard is a GIGABYTE GA-Z77-DS3H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128547)

So, are there compatibility issues here, or is the problem somewhere else

What is the exact problem that occurs during installation?

Earlier it was crashing in the mdidle of the installation, but the problem's been resolved now. Thanks, though
