Hello.

I'm having an Abit KN9 Nforce4 motherboard. I bought an 8Gb Hama Laeta usb stick and I'm having the following problem:

When I'm formatting the usb stick with Fat32 it doesn't appear in the bios and the computer isn't booting at all. If freezes at "Checking DMI Pool Data".

When I'm formatting the usb stick with NTFS it appears in the mb's bios but the computer isn't booting again. It freezes at "Checking DMI Pool Data".

I used another usb stick, an old Kingston DataTraveler 2GB, Fat32 partitioned and the computer is booting without any problem.

Both usb sticks are usb 2.0 compliant.

What could be the cause? Some kind of incompatibility? And why, since the computer is working fine with another usb stick. The usb stick may be damaged and it's not working fine?

Thanks a lot.

When the stick is NTFS formatted in the bios appears just "Usb-Hdd0: ", nothing more, no name, no nothing. When it is Fat32 is doesn't appear at all.

I disconnected every usb device and the problem remains.
