GPU Benching/Rankings based on PSU req?

Hello fellow TH users;

Is there a list of GPUs with their wattage requirements w/ rankings? Such as, all the GPU cards that require 400W (the min requirement from the nvidia/radeon website) ranked, then all 450, then all 500W, then 550W etc etc.

or does someone just know them and can repeat them to me? :D

Example:

400W Category (tier descending order)
Nvidia 799 GTS
Nvidia 769 GTS
Radeon 7999
Nvidia 720
Radeon 7990

450W Category (tier descending order)
Nvidia 999 GTS
Radeon 9999
Nvidia 980
Nvidia 970
Radeon 9890

  1. Hmm, I can't.
Why do you asking this? Do you want to buy card? If that so, it would be easier to us if you just tell us your FULL specs and budget, then we will suggest you some card for the best situation... :)

    i was hoping there's a pre-generated list already.

460W PSU, what's the best card that it can handle?
  3. It depends on many things, choosing a card is not depend on PSU only, there's so many things like your CPU, RAM, Mobo, PSU, Monitor, Budget.
Also, a cheap 460W PSU can deliver different power if you compare it with a decent(bit expensive) 460W PSU (Corsair, Antec, Seasonic, PCP&C, SilverStone).

    Take a look at this:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125363
    GTX 560 Ti

That card required 500W PSU with 2x6pin power connector. With a decent PSU (even 460W PSU) you can run that card flawlessly, but with a cheap 460W PSU I doubt it...
  4. let's say it was a cheap one, then what?

    best card that uses 450W?
