Budget Battlefield 3 PC Help

Hi all, I'm new to these forums, so don't be harsh .

I am in the market for a new Graphics card below 120. I am looking at the 6770. The 6850 is 20 dollars more, and is a 256 bit card vs. the 128 bit on the 6770. The clocks, and bandwith on the 6850 are lower. Is it worth the money? I am on an extremely tight budget. Question Number 2: Will the 6770 run Battefield 3 on Ultra at 1366x768 resolution/ No AA no AF, just V-sync?

AMD Phenomx 4 9750 OC'd at 2.9GHZ
AMD 780g motherboard
Upgrading PSU to 580 Watts
1 TB 7200RPM drive

I think with that type of res. You'd be fine with the 6770.

Thanks for your reply. My rig is similar to yours, with a lower gfx card but but RAM. How did the beta run for you?

You could run it on Ultra in the Beta with a 6770. You'll be fine with it.

Huge CPU bottle neck and I would dish out the extra 20bucks if I were you

Is the 256 bit interface that important? My CPU OS fine, its never been a problem with my 4850. I need to upgrade because I fried my card.

I had a phenom 9850 bottleneck a gtx 460( similar to 6850). I would dip down to low 30 fps even on the lowest settings. Once I got a 2500k I would get constant 60 fps on max with 16 aa.

2.9GHz bottleneck a 6770? You crazy? My 2.6GHz is a bottleck, and only by %3, 2.9 is fine, AMD does't perform in gaming as well as intel, but it's not a bottleneck.

No your Cpu (Phenom 9750) will bottleneck your ati 6850 (graphics card)

Man up and take the fps spikes or hold off your build till you have enough for a phenom 955 if your mobo supports it.
