MSI GTX580 Lightning vs Gigabyte GTX580 Ultra Durable 3GB

If you were given the choice between these two cards, which would you choose?

I can get both for the same price.

I personally would take the MSI just because I have a good experience with their cards but in all reality if you cant choose on price or warranty just toss a coin.

I was just thinking because the Gigabyte has double the memory. I'm not sure how important that will be playing at 1920x1080. What do you think?

The extra memory would be enough for me to get the Gigabyte although it is not going to help at 1080P currently it might down the road.

The extra memory does in fact help even at 1080p, but only in like 2 games that use massive textures.. like Metro and BF3 and possibly Crysis 2 with the updated patch. While you will not see games of this calibur for a long time to come, its still goes to show that more vram is best for now.

Buy whichever one you want, you will not be disappointed either way.
