Picture doesnt fit whole screen **Help!**

So i have a new acer 24" LED monitor and i love it, but one thing.. the picture doesnt fit whole screen, i have tried:

Downloading and applying new graphics&display drivers - unsuccessful
Changing screen res - unsuccessful
and altering settings in CCC - also unsuccessful

so if anyone could help!! thank you!

go into CCC
go under my digital displays
and look for scaling options
guaranteed you used HDMI
and you have to change your overscan to 0
that will do it

dont worry
the first time I used HDMI
I freaked out too LOL

this works great. until you want to play a game. As soon a a game boots the screen goes the same way it was before.
