I am running into the same problem. If the previous person had not been so rude then the person who was willing to help might have given the answer. In the future don't bite the hand that feeds you!! That person was trying to help out of the goodness of his heart so next time think about his time and it is also valuable.
I apologize on the behalf of that rude person. If you would be so kind as to offer your assistance to me I will be very grateful.
Back to my problem. My Catalyst card has been working OK for quite some time. I was gone to Europe for a week and upon my return I could not get the screen to show up. I could however RDP into the machine. I followed the steps to completely remove the drivers clean up the drivers with driver sweeper and reinstalled the latest version of the catalyst control suite. Upon rebooting out of Safe mode into normal mode the screen is again black.
HELP! I will be very appreciative.
