I'm trying to get 4 quad video cards running in one machine (16 displays total). I can get 8 displays to run, but whenever I put in the 3rd quad card I get a wonderful BSoD. I thought that since the mobo has a molex for supplementary power I'd be ok, but that seems to not be enough. Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mobo: EVGA P67 FTW 160-SB-E679-K2
GFX cards: 4x JATON VIDEO-PX309-QUAD Radeon HD 3450
PSU is rated for 1000W

being that none of ur cards have external power imput all of their power is being drawn from the motherboard. that may be ur issue.

can you get hold of 4x cards that have external power connectors?

Thanks for the response.

I did try to find one that had an external power connection. It was $100 more per card and double thickness so I couldn't fit them all in the same PC anyway.

I found these but I wasn't sure if they'd even help. Anyone used one before?
