I've decided to upgrade to a HP dx7200 (don't laugh) from my Acer Veriton 3600. Mainly this is because I want to play games such as GTA4, and currently my AGP 512mb ATI 1600XT doesn't let me.

So ideally I'd run the HP with 4GB Ram, and a PCI-E 1GB Graphics Card. I just want to know if this is possible. It is a tower, so surely a full profile card will fit. I just want to know if they are compatible, and if anyone has had any issues doing this. Also, what cards would you recommend?

I was thinking something around a NVIDIA 9500GT (1GB), however apparently this card needs 450Watts. The dx7200 only has 300Watts, would this be a problem?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Welcome to the forums.
The 9500 GT doesn't require a 450W, the card itself draws a maximum of 50W, and they recommend a 350W PSU, The 9500 Gt will work just fine with your PSU without no problem.
as i can see that your machine is capable of a maximum Pentium D CPU, why don't you upgrade to a quad core machine.
4 GB with a dual core CPU doesn't seem to be reasonable.
