Hi everyone,

I am looking for your opinions on whether or not the 3960x is worth it
Money does not matter as i am on a high budget
so i want to know how the 3960x compares to the 3930k, does the extra 3mb of L3 cache really make a difference
the 100mhz increase in speed does not matter as i will be overclocking (if you are buying a $1000 processor you probably should be)

I also want some recommendations on a power supply for...

EVGA GTX 580
Asus ROG rampage IV extreme
OCZ Agility 120gb SSD x2
G-Skill ripjaws Z 16gb
Corsair H100 Cooler

Thanks in advance

Simply put, no. The only thing that extra $400 buys you is the right to claim you own an Extreme Edition. For those that know it's a sign of ignorance, and for those that don't... it doesn't matter.

580 is a 244w draw, 3930K is 135w. nVidia recommends a minimum of 600W for the 580 but I'd say with the high LGA2011 tdp I'd shoot for a minimum 750W for a single 580 and 1K if you plan on SLI in the future.
