MSi M-ATX PCI 1x add-on problem?

January 23, 2013 12:33:41 PM

Well I have a MSi M-ATX H61M-P31

it's M-ATX but for some reason it only has 1 "PCI-E 16x" slot and 1 "PCI-E 1x" slot.

the 1x slot is placed so that it would be basically blocking the cooling on my graphics card

so is there anyway to get around this? my case supports like 9 expansion slots so can I get like a PCI extender or something? that moves the slot down 2 or so slots so I can install my sound card no worries?

I want to install a Xonar DGX into it, if I can't find a solution to this i'll have to buy a reference card with the fan at the far end of the card(and they are really loud and run super hot) =/

please help

here's a picture of the motherboard
