Is o k to upgrade my HPE 410y to a 500W PSU

I want to upgrade my HPE 410y to a radeon 6850, which has a recommended PSU of 500W, is it safe to do this? I don't want to fry my motherboard or anything. ~pc-noob~

in fact you should replace your PSU. just make sure you got good quality PSU from reputable brand like anteq, corsair, FSP group etc

I just did a google search on your HPE 410y and it says it comes with a 300w power supply , so the radeon 6850 says it needs a 500w power supply and you want to know if it will work. It will if you upgrade your power supply to a 500w one and you won't fry your motherboard.
