hwinfo32 shows : AMD A75 / A 70M Hudson -D3 / M3
Interface is shown as SATA 3 G/s Toshiba [ 500 GB , 8 MB]
I believe the Toshiba HDD is 5400 rpm , with 3 G/s and 8 MB buffer , hence the interface is shown as SATA 3 G/s

I am planning to buy a SSD SATA III , would like to know if the motherboard would support it , as i would be replacing the CD rom with SSD .

Thanks & regards
Shib

CPU AMD A8-4500M
Toshiba L840D-BT3N22

Thanks a lot for the answering .

Just wanted to be sure that the premium for SSD 6Gb/s can be effectively utilised :) otherwise i can settle for 3 Gb/s ..

I was considering to buy Corsair Force Series 3 90GB (6Gb/s) SATA 3 else would have settled with Crucial v4 128GB SATA 3Gb/s 2.5-inch (9.5mm) Solid State Drive .. almost same price

The only literature ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_AMD_chipsets), I found on Hudson A70 , says it supports 6 X 6 Gbit/s ACHI 1.2 , I assume this is equivalent to SATA III . [ for Fusion controller hubs (FCH) ]

May be it can support SATA III SSD .

Please suggest between Corsair Force Vs Crucial v4 for a noticeable performance difference .
