Not Connected - No connections are available

Last response: in Wireless Networking

I was googling something and then I opened another Google Chrome and it said "Unable to connect to the Internet" and on Internet Explorer, it said "Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage". I tried to reboot my laptop and disable and enable my modem but it was still the same. My dad's laptop, which used the same modem and wireless, worked just fine

Have you check that you haven't switch the wifi module off. It is usually a sliding switch on the side of a laptop. If you have it on, go to device manager see if the system recognize the hardware. If it is not recognized, reinstall the driver. If it is recognized, then check that the device is not disabled. If you still cannot find the network, then it is probably not broadcasting the SSID and you need to ask the person managing your network at home to enter the network profile for you.
