http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... 39.99 after MIR and promo code.

you want a good quality PSU, the rest of your build looks fine for what you want to do, personally the 6870 is OVERKILL for 1280x1024 so upgrade to a 1080 monitor later and you'll really see what that card can do!

cases are 100% personal choice, i've never come across a case that improved heat/air flow that wasn't a $300+ case, go with what you like personally and what other reviews say about it.

The three cases are about the same; just pick the one you like more.

This ram is pretty much the same put $5 less: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Also get a nicer PSU, you want the 80 plus.

Yup, HD6870 is a bit overkill. You could cheap out a bit and go for the HD6850 which would be more than enough.
