I am upgrading two compters for my office. I purchased:

Motherboard: ASUS M5A88-V EVO AM3+ AMD 880G HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0GHz Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor ADX250OCGMBOX
Power: Diablotek DA Series PSDA500 500W ATX Power Supply
Memory: CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model CMX8GX3M2A1333C9

I am using the old cases (Antec)

I am not able to get it to boot. The "standby power LED" on the motherboard lights showing power to it but when I press power nothing happens. I have two identical builds that are both doing the same thing so I am assuming it is something I am missing.

Where should I start?

Thank you in advance.

thanks, I had exactly the same problem and when I read your response I was able to fix my problem as well.

As it turns out the guy at the store sold me a power splitter from the four pin-out to an eight pin-out but I didn't need it. So, thinking that I did I used one of the 4-pin connectors and converted it to 8-pin. And, once I fixed this everything worked.
