Replaced 4x1gb ram with 4x2gbdual channel wont boot

Hello, I just tried to upgrade my ram from 4sticks of 1gb to 4 sticks of Corsair 2gb dual channel ram and messed up pc bad. finally recovered with old ram.
what could be the problem?

Reset the bios with the new ram installed

Check that the new ram is supported by your motherboard.

Motherboard is MSI DAK790GX, I tried resetting the bios but no different.
