Backup BIOS settings

Hello,
How can I backup BIOS settings (CMOS configuration) and
restore this settings on the other machine (the same hardware configuration
and the same BIOS) under Linux or BSD?
Is it possible ?

The only solution that I know of is to document the settings and apply them to the other system.
