getochn - I see you haven't actually read the page that you posted - it says no Windows 8 driver found. So, the original question is still unanswered - no Windows 8 driver.
I have got it working (ish) with the Windows 7 driver, but the problem is that when plugged in, Windows 8 sometimes takes a long time to shut down. If I unplug the scanner then the shutdown is quick.
If Canon haven't released a Windows 8 driver for that model, they are unlikely to do so in the future, and you won't find one anywhere else. Just be content that you can still use it. There is an alternative method:
Uninstall the Windows 7 driver.
Download & install "VueScan" trial version: http://hamrick.com
If it works with your scanner, buy the program for $40 US Dollars.
