I built my step-son a rig for xmas with a new mobo/cpu and case, along with some older parts I had laying around to cut some costs. Upon installing the memory, I found that one of my sticks of RAM were bad, so now the system only has 2gbs. My question is, will 2gbs be enough to run BF3 at 1280x1024 resolution. Here's his build:

AMD 1055t
Arock 890fx 4 delux
2gb gskill ripjaw 1600 (it was supposed to be 4gb)
xfx 5770 (i have a spare 5770 he can use if it's needed, but I doubt it at this res.)
antec 650w psu
500gb seagate hd.

I know 2gb is the min. reqs, but I was wondering about performance at this resolution. TIA

You might experiment a poor performance at 1280x1024, with just 2GB ram. Perhaps one can play it smoothly at a lower resolution.

For BF3 2x 5770 in CF would help a lot!

Anyway why don´t you return the kit as it has one bad stick?

The RAM kit was one of the older parts I had. It wasn't purchased new recently at any rate. Ram is cheap so I'll prob just end up getting another kit or a single 2gb stick, I was just curious if 2gb would be sufficient at his resolution.
