help plz..!!!!

well...suddenly out of the blues....the wheel on my microsoft intellipoint mouse won't work...when i goto control panel-mouse....the last button there is supposed to be for the wheel settings...its disabled.!!!!....and it dont allow me any options to enable it.....i downloaded the latest drivers from microsoft...but still the wheel options are unclickable...!!!!
this may seem a silly problem...but i got used to using the mouse wheel.....its frustrating to go without it...
help please...!!!

thats a weird one dude, The only thing I would suggest would be to uninstall it and reinstall it, see if that works

first uninstall your current driver.
Do this in safe mode, there might actually be mor garbage drivers installed that you can't see if not in safe mode.
seccond install a generic mouse driver.
third clean your mouse (might help it if it's sticky inside)
then try to install the correct drivers.

thanks for the tip........guess what...i just unplugged it...then replugged and......voila!!!!!!!
