Can an IP provider change your wifi connection and settings?

Hi first we are charter High speed customers and just recently upgraded are connection speed. However today my sisters netbook wireless connection stopped working. My DS wifi connection is also dead now In the past the the wireless network name was wifi-****** but now its called wireless and the wep key no longer works. Do we have to call charter to get the new wep key?

I would call to make sure it was them that did it.

did you set up the router or did they?

We're gonna call tommorrow but they did set it up. They didn't change the router or anything when they came out to install the new HD box.

If this happened right after they did the service they may have reset the router to factory defaults.

also if you can, use WPA encryption, not WEP.
