Asus P7P55D with Win7Pro64bit

Does anyone have the problem with Memory issues running Asus P7P55D with Win7 Pro 64 bit?
- I get in the BIOS 8GB RAM, but in Windows I get 8GB installed but (3.24 useable)

Details:
Intel(R) Core i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80GHz
Installed RAM 8Gb (3.24 usable) - G.SKILL RIPJAWS, DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 2GB x 4 sticks.
System type: 64bit
Mother Board: ASUSTek Comp INC. Model: P7P55D
BIOS Date: 12/07/2009 Ver: 08.00.15
OS: Windows7 Professional 64bit Service Pack 1
Geforce GTX 275
 
Solution
Check in msconfig/Boot/Advanced options. Uncheck maximum memory, if enabled. Try also installing the sticks in the other two slots. See if still the same.
Have you tried clearing the CMOS after installing the RAMs (unplug the power cord and remove the CMOS battery for few minutes)?
If still the same, try updating the BIOS - but only as a last option.
